Design And Implement Of Instant Messaging System Based On XMPP Protocol

Instant Messaging is a new generation of the rapidly growing popularcommunication tools in the world. However, various instant messaging systems wereused their own protocol. XMPP for Instant Messaging is an open data model andXML-based protocol. XMPP protocol breaks the situation that traditional instantmessaging systems can’t interoperate with each other.The project is an instant messaging system, which is based on XMPP protocolwith distributed network and modular extensible system framework. The said systemis based on design and development of the XMPP protocol of instant messaging,which is give effects through C++programming language. This article introduces theIM current status, development trends, Analysis the system development environmentand related technologies involved, the general framework and basic model ofXMPP-based Instant Messaging System has been designed according to abovestudies, meanwhile, detailed study and elaboration is carried out centrally on thecore modules and expansion modules of system.Due to Design and Realization based on XMPP protocol, applicationdevelopment has been simplified with coupling reduced of each module, so that thesystem usability, stability, reliability and expandability can be ensured well. XMPPprotocol achieves the unity of instant messaging service protocol, and makes a lot ofinstant messaging software with a reliable open protocol. XMPP-based instantmessaging system can not only integrated into a new service platform with static Mailsystem, but also bring interoperability in between different software, with moreconvenient and efficient, it is considered significant.
