Social transformation of China stepped into a difficult period since 1990; emergence of collective behavior comes along with a lot of social contradictions. Since its emergence, Internet has made a great impact on collective behavior. Collective behavior on Internet reflects the difficult balance between the rapid growth of citizen participation and the social stability. Although the officials think of collective behavior on Internet as morbid, ugly social phenomenon, the essay regards collective behavior on Internet as the reflections of social mood and natural social phenomenon, which can't be judged transcendentally. The essay analyzes the resentment mood among collective behavior on Internet, instead of the comprehensive mental mechanisms of collective behavior on Internet.Based on critical analysis on ressentiment theory by Max Scheler, the essay defines the resentment mood more accurately. The essay analyzes the symptoms of the narration of the original incident by the netizen. To interpret the symptoms, the essay analyzes the identity in collective behavior on Internet to find out whether the identity is empty mood based on resentment or grand narration supported by "super goodness". Identity must be constructed by collective psychic trauma. The essay interprets collective psychic trauma from the perspective of relation between the state and society. Repressed resentment emotion will burst into carnival, with the expansion of the power and the happiness of freedom. But the power will bring about unexpected destruction. The carnival on Internet will be caught in a post-modern trap, with the decrease of the capacity to act.
