The information in the water can be obtained by high resolution imaging sonar system using underwater acoustic imaging technology, and displayed in the form of visual images directly. The characters of the imaging system such as real-time and high-resolution result in the high-speed data transmission and processing becoming the difficulty of the system design.The main contents of this article are design and implementation of the high-speed data transmission on hardware platform and the display console on software platform. Firstly, the high-speed data transmission on the digital signal processor is studied and a reliable transport model is designed according to the system requirements. The implementation of TCP/IP protocol and EDMA transmission base on TMS320C6416 is researched; secondly, the display console is developed under the environment of LabWindows/CVI. The main functions of the display console are:control and coordinate the operation of each device; complete socket-based network programming and serial port programming; design and implement the real-time transmission, storage and display of high-speed data; complete logging, data-replay. This article begins with the software's functional requirements, narrated each software module realization in detail. The technologies of multi-threading and Windows-based programming model for high-speed data processing are researched. Finally, the system test is done to ensure high-speed data streams between the software and hardware interface is transported correctly.The pool test indicates that the design of data transmission and processing model can meet the system requirements and work stably for a long time. It also indicates that every function model of the display console runs well, while the console is with strong human-computer interaction and reaches system requirements.
