Automation requirements for various types of the sensor and the instrumentation have been improved with the wide applications of the embedded technology in the field of the industry control,such as higher accurate and reliable. There is a trend that the traditional analog tachometer will be replaced by the digital speed meter.This complete design of the intelligent speed transmitter includes receiving the signal from the photoelectric sensor, adopting the latest Cortex-M3 CPU, using OLED display screen. It is with the trend that the embedded system has entered the filed of the industry control.This paper provides the overall design of the project and introduces the design method of the hardware and the software of the model for the intelligent speed transmitter. Also provides the interface circuit and the software block diagram, and describes the specific design process, meanwhile, outlines the hardware and software of anti-interference measures.Intelligent speed transmitter have passed the tests, all the performance indicators meet the design requirements. Prototype has been put into use, the results show that the transmitter is reliable and stable.
