The self is a projected result of the modern reflection, to eliminate the anxiety of modernity,life politics seem ready to come out. Leisure meet the political demands of life, leisurecommunity hosts the three communication relationship of "society-the community-individuals, communities-individuals, individual-individual". The ritual view ofcommunication consider that individual symbolic interaction behavior in the leisurecommunity penetrate into these three relations, the nature of faith sharing and exchange, thefinal point is self-identity. Based on the main concept of the ritual view of communication,communication behavior in the leisure community can be considered to be a ceremonyIncluding the role of (individual, social, community), props (language, text, behavioralpractice spread symbols), process (role) and value (self-identity and collective memory) fourparts.Oral, text, body practice, and other information was obtained by observing and participatingXiamen small fishing island@desert island library's reader of the leisure community. In orderto achieve that "leisure construct the individual self-identity", the ceremony of the labelspread through the following three forms (the framework set by the traditional media, theDouban conduction effect, individuals close to community)to create a community collectivememory in the "society-communities-individuals, communities–individuals" two kinds ofrelationships. But the identity relations of "tangent","itersection" and "disjoint" arebenthamism, which results from the cognition that people regard leisure activity ascompensation for work. It is hard for individual to have the sense of belonging to the leisuregroup.No rather than leisure education can change the current situation. People can break throughthe limit of cognition that they gain the sense of belonging only through label outside nothingbut understand the value of leisure. So people can gain the sense of belonging through thecommunication rite by themselves, and construct self-identity at length.
