Emotion is an important part of human intelligence, it plays an essential role in perception, decision making, learning, planning and so on, and it's also an important factor that influences human cognitive behavior. Based on the research of human cognitive behavior in combat simulation system and aiming at reflecting battlefield cognitive behaviors really, this paper elaborates on the research of cognitive behavior modeling technology of emotional agent by the guidelines of"theory - method - application".First of all, the paper expatiates on the military background of the research of cognitive behavior modeling technology of emotional agent, and the correlative states of existing internal and overseas research. After analyzing the shortage of the state of art of the existing combat simulation system, points out that the exigent requirement of the research of cognitive behavior based on emotion, these provide technical reference for the following research of theories and methods; In the next place, the paper dissertates related concepts of agent and emotion; several types of agent, production mechanism and type of emotion are researched; based on the theories that discussed hereinbefore, the emotional model based on the system of cognitive-appraise theory is put forward, and the method that how to implement the modules in the model and the relations among them are expatiated;Thirdly, the theory of cognitive behavior modeling is researched, and the frame of cognitive behavior based on BDI (Belief-Desire-Intention) is designed. Adding the emotional factor, emotion-cognition model is put forward. Finally, based on the tools of Visual Studio 2005 and Soar, the model is designed and carried out, and hence the works of the paper are validated.
