With the growth of China's economic, political and military strength, the presentation of China's national image has become increasingly important, which directly influences the political and economic spread of China in the global community. The China's image is probably dominated by the western media. Referring to previous research methods and findings, the researcher analyzes the text of China-related editorials from the New York Times during the year of 1991 to 2010. On the basis of the quantitative data, the researcher tries to display a general picture of China's national image on the New York Times for the past decade, and further to reveal the frame of China-related editorials.And then the researcher analyzes the editorials of China Daily during 2006 to 2010, make the contrast on the thesis and tendency between two newspapers. The researcher also presents an idea for China's national image building-instead of"a perfect China", China should build a brand image revealing complex situations in today's China to obtain international trust.
