As an important feature of smart grid, Information integration has become a hot issue in the studies of power system. Due to lack of uniform standards in China's power industry, the electric power enterprises face the problem of "information silos" , which the application system can only meet a single demand. The major point of interoperability for the power system is the study on the consistency understanding of information integration and sharing on the message and the model and on the application interoperability. The International Electrotechnical Commission develops IEC61970/61968 and proposals CIM as the standard data model of power systems .Based on IEC61968, the paper study on the interoperability of advanced application in distribution network.Take the power flow as the business analysis scene, a subset of exchange information CIM / Profile based on their business requirements and the XSD specification of message type based on IEC61968 standards are defined. The paper discusses the interoperation's flow based on IEC61968 information bus and carrys out the message pass complying XSD syntax. With the DG (Distributed Generation) connected into the distribution network,it has multiple power sources. Based on IEC61968 standard, the XSD specification of message type for distribution generation is designed, which can get the equivalent model of the DG from data in message .The distribution generation information is passed to DigSilent to calculate power flow by the way of message based on IEC61968 information interchange bus.Take a 68-node actual distribution network as example, achieving the interoperation of the power flow calculation software in the information platform and professional computing software BPA and DigSilent is studied. The feasibility and correctness of interoperation is verified by the comparison of power flow results.
