Study On Manufacturing Execution System In Multi-varieties And Small-batch Environment And Its Application

In the context of economic globalization, market competition increases day by day, and personalized manufacturing has gradually become the trend of the manufacturing industry. Most manufacturers have gradually shifted the mode from large batch manufacturing to multi-varieties and small-batch production as well. Information flow and work flow under this production mode is more complex, and also put forward higher requirements for the production plan management level of enterprises. Therefore, MES system which locates between plan management level and bottom control level is gotten more and more attention.From just-in-time production, production schedule theory and other related theories and methods of information system, this paper explores the function and development process of MES system. This paper puts emphasis on the characteristic and requirement of multi-varieties and small-batch production. According to the specific situation of the cooperative enterprises, and proposes functional module of MES system the enterprises required, including basic data management, sale management, plan management, inventory management and quality management, etc. And following that, from system development point of view, this paper researches technique routine of system development, determines the architecture design and database design of system development, and implements the key techniques of system; Finally, based on previous research, for the situation of manufacturing industry, combining with thinking of object-oriented and using with network technology and database technology, a set of MES system under environment of multi-varieties and small-batch production has been developed.After the application of the MES system in the enterprises, it helps the enterprises manage production activities effectively, arrange production plan properly and shorten production cycle; it also helps the enterprises carry on management of production work activities and performance analysis, find out and eliminate the constraints; and also it helps reduce the work-in-process and inventory, and effectively raise the economic efficiency of enterprises.
