With the global expansion of capital,the media culture of consumerism rapid development in the world,and welcomed by most of the people. In this context, consumerism through the spread of media culture deeply affect all areas of our society. As a kind of value and life style emerged in the Western developed countries and accepted and widespreaded rapidly between the end of the 19th century and early 20th century. Consumerism is also achieving a comprehensive penetration in our social life with the rapid globalization. As a value, consumerism has become a source of purpose and meaning of life through which people identify themselves and express themselves. At the same time, consumption has been turned into the center of life.In modern society, the media and consumerism have their own thoughts. Through mutual cooperation , it has created many colorful and chaotic pictures of consumption and communication landscapes. Thanks to the strong propaganda of media culture,consumerism was widely welcomed by people. At the same time, consumerism has profound effects on the media itself. In this process, through advertising and the star model, media culture acts as a "catalyst " and the role of missionaries has constructed the consumption ideology and created a lot of consumer myths.
