With the development of science and technology, the more storage capacity and the reading speed is required in our lives. While the technology of volume holographic storage has the advantage in the reading speed and storage density which the other storage insurmountable. So the science workers in the world pay special attitude on it.Recently with the research of the holography Storage, there are a lot of performance index have improved. So the research of pattern recognition whice is based on the holographic storage has becomed a new hotspot. And there are a lot of work should do on that. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to do some research on the pattern recognition which is based on volume holographic storage.The theory of Kogelinik which is on volume holographic theory is analyzed in this paper. And the by the way of numerical computation, we calculated the diffraction efficiency with the change of the mismatch Prague changing curves. So there is theory basis for the angle multiplexing technique of holographic storage. In order to improve the density of the holographic storage, we adopted the method of the double-lens confocal and given its principle diagram.About the problems of the noise, the paper analyzes the various sources and puts forward corresponding suppression method for the noise suppression. We do a lot of work on the analysis of the CCD and SLM parameters in the influence of system noise. And we compute the the influence of crosstalk degrees by the parameters of CCD and SLM. We summarized the equalization image grey is necessary to the pattern recognition which is based on volume holographic storage. And through compared, we come to a conclusion that second-order Laplacian edge extraction is more usefull to autocorrelation peak recognition. We Put forward by use of regional related law to pattern recognition.We give a background image library of relevant figure and proof the optical parallel computing capabilities and the advantage in the pattern recognition by experiment, And presents the control system in our experiment. The control diagram, displacement platform interfaces, shutter hardware circuit and correlation peak localization and recognition program flow chart can be found in this paper. In addition, this paper also gives a 100 picture, 200 picture and 1,500 image library of pattern recognition charts, and we statisticed different situations of pattern recognition which is based on volume holographic storage.
