With the improvement of the amount of information and processing speeds of information, demand to have information storage technology in conformity with this. Volume holographic storage, because of in storage capacity, the advantage at the transfer rate of the data and access pace, it is most able to become the next-generation storage technology of the datum.we have made a great progress in improving the storage density of the data, access tempo and the performance of volume holographic storage etc in recent years. There are many obstacles when it is used for image pattern recognition. This thesis is aiming at pattern recognition with image bases stored in VHS.The article examined the volume holographic memory technology in the design of the basic storage-ray road, designed a simply structure of multiplexing, increased volume holographic information storage volume. Studied the read method for equal diffraction efficiency image. Analysis of the system's main source of noise. Parameters of CCD and SLM effect on the VHS.This text has put forward the concept of the template of image recognition and characteristic recognition vector. When the diffractive efficiency of the holograms in a VHM is not uniform enough and the SNR of the retrieved images is very low, the precision of direct pattern recognition will be very low. In this case, proper error-correcting methods must be used. We have done experiments for attaining adaptive recognition algorithm and proposed the scheme of correlation coefficient(CC) as the optimum recognition algorithm Pattern recognition for volume holographic image-base built by both angular multiplexing technology holographic storage technology were implemented by using CC method.This text expose on the basis of two kinds of time sequence set up volume holographic image, analyze exposing the impact on pattern-recognition of different time sequence. Through experiment investigation, this paper proposed future work for improving pattern recognition system based on VHS.
