As a technology of three-dimensional storage, volume holographic storage is different from traditional two-dimensional storage. It has unique predominance in storage capability, speed of data transferring and so on. Based on the research of reflection volume holographic storage, we designed the whole storage system and the closed-loop control system of angle multiplexed. We analyzed the performance of storage material and build holographic display system based on volume holographic storage.First, we described and studied theory of holographic storage in the article and compared some commonly used storage-ray roads,such as transmission path and reflecting path. We designed and founded the real volume storage system of reflecting path basing on the theory.After that, it makes in-depth researches on multiplexed technology of storage system and develops the optimization program that is easy to achieve, it's the method of using double-lens which have same focus. This method doesn't need beam deflection device and can change the reference beam incidence angle with mechanical movement platform only. We build the closed-loop control system with linear scale as the unit of position detection. It can assure precision of the reappearance. The feasibility of the new method has been proved by experiments of storing and rebuilding holographic images. At the same time, we studied the performance of storage material which works as the nuclear components in our system, specially the infection of dope and polarization to photorefractive crystal. We also studied and prepared polarize equipment. With the result of experiment, near-stoichiometric crystal has superiority character in diffraction efficiency, respond time and dynamic range, compared with congruent crystal. What's more, after polarizing we got better characters that make the crystal suitable for real time storage completely.Finally, we began to study the 3 dimensional display system of volume holographic, after the preparation of reflecting path holographic storage system. Holography is a promising technique with which to provide natural-looking 3 dimensional images because of the similarity between the light waves of a hologram and those reflected from a real object. It has a very well using vista in battlefield visualization and firepower control system of weapon. It based on the volume holographic storage system and combined with computer-generated holography (CGH). It used near-stoichiometric crystal as the temporary storage medium.
