Nowadays is in the large-scale railway construction period, there are many much projectabout the passenger line's construction, expansion and renovation, but it's complicatedgeographical conditions and harsh weather conditions have significant influence on theconstruction. In order to ensure that the project completed on schedule and improve projectquality, protection of construction safety, they established video surveillance systems andintegrated scheduling system to achieve remote visualization of construction site managementin the full range of the railway. Video surveillance systems can effectively achieve the orderlyconstruction site control of the railway construction, and significant to manage the unit of theconstruction. Previous video surveillance system relies mainly on the wired network or pointto point (PTP) wireless network or multipoint (PTMP) wireless network to implementnetworking, so there are many difficult issues, and lack of a comprehensive, systematic studyon communication systems of video surveillance. Therefore, this paper designed a wirelessvideo surveillance system and achieved the important part of video surveillance system-anintegrated scheduling system.In view of the development trend of video surveillance systems, and the need of railwayconstruction, according to the special nature of the project construction environment,combined with the existing mature technology, using the advanced wireless Mesh networkand the concept of banyan tree topology in the design of video monitoring system, designed aset of video surveillance system architecture which based on wired and wireless hybridnetwork. Front-end control system main designed the system structure, functional requirements and equipment connections of each monitoring point; network communicationmajor designed for the special nature of the environment, the railway construction site isusually located in the wilderness, lack of communication facilities, in order to reduce systemconstruction costs, this system cooperate with telecom operators, leased cable network toinstall Wireless Mesh Wireless Mesh network transceiver devices to communicate with theconstruction site, to achieve a set of wireless monitoring system which can easy to assemble,move and reuse; video storage system primarily designed to analysis the collected informationon how to store the large amounts of video to prepare for calls, given the huge size of videodata, this system use dedicated disk storage array to improve storage efficiency, faulttolerance and ease of use.According to the needs of construction management of Qi Ha PDL, this paper designedand implemented a comprehensive scheduling system. This system includes videosurveillance module, video storage and playback module, network system main hot backupmodules, alarm modules, electronic map modules and systems management module. Throughthese modules, users can flexibly control the operation of the video surveillance system, andgain the experience of efficient, convenient and easy.At present, the wireless video surveillance system has been applied widely, and throughthe rigorous system testing achieved the desired design goals. This system fully utilize thehigh bandwidth of cable networks, high-stability characteristics, and fast wireless networkdeployment, and flexible features, to improve the management capacity of the railwayconstruction efficiently.
