Since the invention of computer,Internet become the basic dependence assupporting social development and technological innovation. Now, however, thesocial development requires the information technology to extend to the physicalspace.So,there has been the Internet of Things,which can connect and integrate thephysical world and information space effectively.And the Internet of Things may leadanother great revolutionary of the information industry,just as the computer and theinternet does.Environmental monitoring is one of the first proposed,the most widely used andthe most far-reaching application of the Internet of Things. Combined with the grimsituation of the global environmental problems, the United Nations Climate ChangeConference in Copenhagen make the "carbon" and "carbon sinks" known by all thepeople in China overnight. At the same time, all the chinese know the "carbon" is thecore of the climate change.Reducing carbon emissions and increasing carbon sinks isthe responsibility and obligation of China! With the development of society and theimprovement of people’s life, people care more about the living environment, so theweather forecast is not enough anymore, the precise Environment Index reportion isimperative.This system provides a environmental monitoring system in the field of theInternet of Things.It’s backbone network is the Wireless Mesh Network, every meshnode can make the aggregation and transportion of huge amounts of in a wirelesssensor network data come true, multiple sensor nodes deployed in the designated area,all these constitute a wireless passsense of a network,which is including carbonmonoxide sensor, dust particle sensor, temperature sensor, humidity sensor, lightsensor, and carbon dioxide sensor, etc. Using wireless passsense of a network toconstruct a platforms of the Internet of Things, monitoring the concentration of carbon monoxide, the concentration of dust particles, the air temperature, air humidity, lightintensity and the concentration of carbon dioxide in the vertical space and horizontalspace comprehensivly, analysising and processing the date on the server, makingconvenience to the users reading, comprehending the air pollution, and warning thehigh environmental index helping administrators to discover the source ofexcessive,find the reason, and timely manner.The administrators can check theenvironmental indicators at any time,to ensure the production safety; wired orwireless IP cameras can be installed in the coverage of the wireless mesh nodenetwork, through the smart IP cameras, on-site visualize monitoring is allowed. Thecombination of system and environmental monitoring of wireless sensor networknode,making the the monitoring of the the target area come true.This article is make up of four sections.The fist section is about the wirless meshnetwork’s definitions and standards,the Author chose working in the5.8GHz bandADHOC self-organizing networks and mobile wireless network protocol batman.thesecond section is about the hardware selection of Wireless Mesh Networks node,usingRB411U routing control panel and WL017Wireless network card.according todifferent applications need different Power supply,this article Designed solar powermodule to power the nodes.Except the main transmission hardware module, this parthas a brief introduction of the hardware selection of wireless sensor network node inorder to Perceive the environmental parameters.The third section describes thesoftware implementation, including data collection, transmission, analysis, andstorage of the whole process.The last part tests the function of each part in thesub-module system, and describes the results of the system’s final test.The system can be extended to view a single sensor node handheld devices, Atthe same time,wireless mesh network has a AP access Enternet function, It supportmobile terminal to query a variety of information in real time.on the wireless meshnetwork coveraged.
