The Design Of Cr-based Reporting System Application In Finance Industry

With the rapid development of information industry, the report as an important meansof financial management and control information, is more and more valued bydecision-making authorities. However, in the practical application, there is a general lackof unified management of reports information in the industry. After research of leadingreport technology at home and abroad, Including JasperReport, BIRT, Crystal Reports andrunqian report, this paper introduces the design and implementation of a reportmanagement system which can process dynamic-data with diverse format efficiently andsuited to the financial industry.Although report generation needs vary widely in financial industry, this thesissummarizes as the following three categories: day-month-year report, temporary report andspecial report. This thesis compares several reporting management methods like manualmanagement, database software management and the secondary development managementsystems based on reporting technology, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages ofthem. This thesis also analyazes functional and non-functional needs of the system, andwhich leading reporting technology suited to the application, as the resultCrystal-Reports technology being chosen as the most suitable development tools. Thisthesis describes a system which is implemented based on Crystal Reports technology,withOracle database technology and. NET technology which applys to the financial industry. The system is a three-tier client/server architecture, including data logic layer, data accesslayer and data presentation layer, where the data logic layer includes a report configurationinformation module and a data generation engine module. The paper focuses on the ideaand realization of the data generation engine module and provides possible solutions toproblems in its implementation. This paper also introduces Crystal Reports Push Model+Un-typed Report development approach, which is a flexible programmatic method todevelop a report management system.Finally, this paper provides comparision between the system and older ones to testifythe effects of the system and it stills runs well in the bank.
