Comparative Study On Economic Development Of City Circle Based On Data Mining

In recent years,china's economy has been in a highly efficient ,rapid development, andthe rise of central region attracts more attention.In this paper, economic development level ofWuhan city circle was analyzed with the application of data mining technology, basis oneconomic indicators of total 55 cities, including Jingjinji city circle, Yangtze River DeltaMetropolitan Area, Pearl River Delta Metropolitan Area, Wuhan city circle, Xiangtan UrbanAgglomeration and Central China city group, from the year of 1995 to 2008.First, it was found that financial strength (fixed asset investment and household savingat the end of year) has a greater impact on GDP, basis on the analysis of the seven selectedvariables with the application of partial least squares. Analysis indicates that, first-level citieshave a very deep financial strength which is far difficult to match with for second-level cities.Wuhan city circle has a increasing trend about financial strength and a good GDP-financialstrength curve, indicating a good prospects for development.Secondly, analyze these city circles horizontally and vertically. Horizontally, thefinancial strength and GDP of Wuhan city circle's main city were worse than Jingjinji citycircle, Yangtze River Delta Metropolitan Area and Pearl River Delta Metropolitan Area,better than Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration and Central China city group; But thefourth-level cities'of it were far behind. Vertically, third stage's financial strength and GDPof Wuhan city cirrle's main city were similar with first stage of Yangtze River DeltaMetropolitan Area.With only one strong city , Wuhan city circle shows a fault phenomenon.Basis on the analysis , present a scheme of developing the vice city of Wuhan city circle.The study shows that, with changes in domestic and international economicenvironment, economic development will gradually migrate to the interior. Central China isimperative, so Wuhan city circle has a good development opportunity, with challenges.Construction of city circle will create good conditions for Central China's prosperity, andattract substantial capital inflows, resulting in higher economic efficiency.
