In recent years, healthcare systems around the globe are faced with an exponential rise in expenses. The issue of health care for the elder, disabled, infants, chronic patient and other caring needing groups is a major problem which the society is confronting. Utilizing limited financial as well as human resources to manage the growing healthcare needs. This has brought great pressure to current medical care. In this context, this topic proposed research and build a family, medical institution and social multi-collaborative pervasive healthcare system composed by multi-parameter measure system, and based on Zigbee wireless network and internet, to assist medical stuff to achieve remote monitoring and healthcare for the elder, disabled and chronic patients and other vulnerable groups. With the purpose to reduce the pressure on medical staff, cut down the cost, provide efficient medical services and build a normal, comfortable, healthy lifestyle for patients outside the hospital.In this thesis, latest development and current research situation in related fields at home and abroad are analyzed. Besides, the key technology of wireless sensor network and internet in the application of pervasive healthcare are studied. Moreover, the solutions about the physiological parameters from the measurement, wireless transmission, and database access to the Web site display are discussed in detail. Considering the scenarios of health care, wireless transmission data rate and power consumption requirements,Zigbee wireless communication technology was chosen, and TI's CC2430 wireless sensor network solution was employed to achieve the wireless transmission between physiological parameters measurement module and gateway. PC, as the gateway of the system, is the control and data center of the whole system, and Apache+MySQL+PHP technology was implemented to set up Web server, providing customer remote access via Ethernet. Not only the customer can view the network status of the physiological parameters measurement nodes and query the physiological parameters, but they can send control command to query node network status and physiological parameters measurement control commands to achieve the remote control to physiological parameters measurement nodes.With the integrated test about the functionality and the performance of the entire system, and through analyzing the consequence, the thesis verified that the system meets the basic requirements of pervasive healthcare system.
