With the development of science and technology, more and more countries begin to pay attention to the Pulsed High Magnetic Field technology.As the important tools for experiments, measurement and control systems are correspondingly taken into account . The volume of the traditional measurement and control system is huge, and the function is simple, which is hard to meet the requires for the intelligent and muti-function system. However, the measurement and control system based on LabVIEW could well solve this problems. It incorporates the arithmetic capability of computer into the measurement and control system ,which would promote various performance of the sysytem.GPIB and RS-232 are the two main kinds instrument interface busses at the moment; SCPI is the instrument communication language which follows the IEEE488 protocol. VISA serves as the I/O language simplifies the instrument programming. The LabVIEW programming environment can easily use the above communication busses and languages, realizing the instrument control system. Magnets discharge measurement system with coiling machine control system in this paper have used the LabV IEW programming environment.In this paper, the research process of the magnets discharge measurement system have been discussed, the software and hardware configuration of the system is presented, and the measuring object and methods of the system have been selected and analised. The LabVIEW program of the measurement system is devided into 4 sections according to the function, which are the data acquisition module, the LabVIEW and LCR tester communication module, the waveform display and adjusting module and the data storage module, respectively. The implement method of these function modules are also stated in this paper.In addition,the paper also analyses the principle of coiling machine control system and the function realization. First, the control definitions on the operation panel of the coiling machine are expressed; and then the functions'realization of the LabVIEW procedure is analyzed, in which realizing the communication between the LabVIEW procedures and PLC are focused;Finally, performance tests on speed regulation characteristic and positioning accuracy of the coiling machine control system are conducted.At present, the magnet discharge measurement system has been used in many practical experiments. Better data acquisition function has been realized,and the coiling machine control system also could well control the simulated coiling machine for the basic control operation. This paper provides certain reference for instrument control system based on LabVIEW.
