With the constant speed up of global information, demands of people in storage media have been become increasingly high in recent years. Due to many limitations, the traditional storage has become the performance bottleneck for various types of computing systems. Compared with traditional storage technology, NAND Flash has small size, low power consumption, light weight, large memory capacity and low price advantage, and soon from a number of storage technologies to the fore. Especially on the smart phone as the representative of consumer electronic products continued to hit, making the NAND Flash has already begun more and more into people's lives, to become an indispensable part of people's lives.People in the use of electronic products, the firmware will inevitably be damaged or need to upgrade itself, that is updated in the NAND Flash program or data, you need a special feature for NAND Flash chip programmer to read and write. The subject of the design of NAND Flash programmer implements fine-grained programming operation, can program by sectors, pages and blocks, programming address and data available through the graphical interface of Windows XP procedures specified, and can read and modify firmware in the NAND Flash include smart phones, digital cameras, MP3/MP4 and other products.First, this paper analyzes the current research situation of NAND Flash technology, explores the characteristics of NAND flash memory technology, organizational structure, programmingoperation. Then, this paper explores hardware and software of the programmer's design, makes a hardware test, programmer functional test, programmer performance test, and analyzes the test results briefly. Finally, this work is summarized and prospected, a few thoughts is given to subject-oriented research directions for further research.
