With the rapid growth of urban population and the continuous improvement of rail transport automation, how to solve the ticket-problem by using the self-service equipment, and then obtaining the tickets quickly and easily becomes a top priority.With the merit of rapidly developing and populating of communication technology, this paper presents an implementation scheme of self-service ticket system based on MMS technology and two-dimensional code. First, the research background and the types of rail tickets are introduced and the cell phone-based electronic ticket form of two-dimensional code is proposed; Second, the types and characteristics of barcode is demonstrated in detail, and the QR barcode is selected for the system according to its advantages and the need of the system; Then the image processing technology of two-dimensional barcode decoding is carried out in-depth, including the pretreatment methods, such as image grayness, median filtering, threshold division, image normalization, binarization, location, rotation algorithm etc. A dynamic adaptive dual-threshold algorithm is presented in the binarization processing and a genetic algorithm is used in the feature located to search the entire image, so the two-dimensional bar code region can be detected quickly and easily. These technologies demonstrated the feasibility and the reliability of the electronic ticket booking and fast-checking system. Finally, with the author's experience and technology accumulation in the work, the operating flow of ticket bying and checking through the cell-phone system is introduced clearly from the application point of view and the system's implementation scheme is proposed.
