Model-free control is a new type of control theory which is recently developed. It does not need to establish the mathematical model of controlled system. In the controlling process it also does not need to be identified. For parameter values of controllers we only need a simple man's setting carefully and neatly. It is considered to be the ideal controller of process control. The method of model-free control is different from other methods. It opened up a new way, it proposed a new control concept and technology. Before model-free control is proposed, the PID control is often applied to the boiler temperature control system, the effect is good in the certain degree. However, in practical applications, boiler temperature systems generally include nonlinearity, hysteresis, time-varying characteristics and so on. At this time, PID control will do nothing. To solve this problem, we present a new control method in this issue which combines model-free control with predictive control. We apply this new concept to the hybrid simulation platform and we consider boiler temperature control of the nonlinear system as the research object and simulate, meanwhile we compare it with several algorithms. Simulation results show that the effect is good.
