The energy crisis that humanity facing is more and more serious, which forced us to develop the solar energy. But in terms of technology that to develop and use the solar energy at home and abroad is still relatively low. So the improvement of the efficiency of solar energy has become the focal point of our study. The key to improve the utilization of solar energy is using sun-tracking technology. In this context, this article proposed a new kind of solar orientation detection and tracking devices.Based on the analysis of solar azimuth tracking technology at home and abroad, and the combination of several common characteristics of the solar tracking mode, this article Proposed a closed loop of sun tracking based on the CCD camera programs, that solar trajectory-based to complete the initial position of the sun tracking. After that, the camera captures the current sun spot image, gives image processing to obtained the tracking error by the solar trajectory, as the same time, the tracking error as the feedback are returned to the system for correction To complete the exact position of the sun tracking.This article gives the rule of the sun running and the relationship of movement of the solar tracking system and sun running. After the analysis of the motion characteristics of biaxial sun-tracking system, the article gives the tracking error by solar trajectory. On the basis of above analysis, the article proposed a program to detect the sun position and track the sun, and study the detection technology of the sun based on the camera, complete the acquisition of images,the system interface,the spot image processing, and tracking device driver designing, and design the feedback part of the image for the position adjustment of the tracking devices.This article gives the software driver interface designs of the turntable tracking system and the analysis of control strategy. After simulation analysis, the article gives the simulation results of control strategy that proved the feasibility of control methods. Finally, the article build the experimental platform for sun tracking, through two sets of experiments, we can conclude that the camera-based sun tracking system can accomplish the desired objectives well, and have the better tracking and real-time, and through a measurement of error experiment, the article gives the uncertainty of the sun tracking system...
