With the development of oil and gas exploration, geophysical data in geological interpretation has also undergone a qualitative and revolutionary change. In seismic interpretation, sequence analysis can be used to clarify various sequence of sedimentary internal structure and predict its material composition. According to the time-frequency analysis results, we can study sedimentary characteristics, its budding history, deposit environment, and expounds vision zone and the local reservoir of oil and gas, which has profound significance for the reservoir description and prediction.Based on sequence stratigraphy theory, we are tracking domestic and foreign similar technology development level of research content and key technology, grasp the technical development trend and dynamic. According to the object-oriented program design method and software engineering design requirement, software system is integrated and developed using C/C++ language in workstation environment, based on Xwindow and Quick Time(QT) graphical user interface standard.Sufficiently, during development process, we communicate with users, analyze users'requirements of the software structure drawing to design the structure. In terms of data management, we use management modes of multi-level index file, which support in 32/64-bit system realizing massive data-file management. About user interface, the Model View Control (MVC) design patterns are used. The system includes ten function modules: project management, seismic management, logging management,interpretation management, time-frequency tool management, time-frequency analysis and calculation, seismic stratigraphy explanation, logging stratigraphic explanation, singularity detection, result preservation and display, etc.Combined with the actual data, we made a detection and optimization of this system function, and get good effect. Finally, a set of the seismic stratigraphy analysis software system is established, whose performance is stable and reliable, function is perfect and has convenient maneuverability. The development and design summary report is formed. The report provides an effective technical means for reservoir prediction and thin interbed research.
