Three-dimensional panorama technology based on sequence of pictures is to stitch static images together to form a 360-degree panoramic picture, which reproduce a true picture of reality. Because of these characteristics, the three-dimensional digital panorama technique has already widely used in many areas, such as city planning, products demonstration, construction and real estate, hotel browsing, tourism landscape display, car show, digital panoramic campus, and etc. Therefore, the panoramic technology were widely used, making this technology has become a hot research area.In this paper, the basic theory of three-dimensional panorama had been analyzed. And then, the paper pays attention to practical application. A virtual campus is constructed based on the theory. Through the practical application, the paper also given a Application prospects analysis.Firstly, combined with the current development status of virtual panorama at home and abroad, the basic concepts and characteristics of virtual reality were introduced. The application area was also deeply studied here.Secondly, the basic knowledge of three-dimensional panoramic image mosaic were introduced, including the camera imaging model, the image coordinate system as well as image transformation model. The core technologies of image mosaic include image registration and image combination techniques. So these two techniques are also studied.And then, from practical perspective, The application skills are comprehensively introduced in the paper, which include the panoramic field of technology hardware and technical requirements of panoramic image acquisition, combined with the actual case of the panoramic image stitching, panorama image generation and virtual roaming campus Building for the production of the system; the artistic expression of three-dimensional panorama are also studied to analysis how to get creative arts of panorama. With the development of computer technology and the popularization of network applications, digital three-dimensional panoramic technology will be more widely applied. Therefore, three-dimensional technology, generation and panoramic virtual campus roaming system will contribute to the popularity of three-dimensional panorama technology applications and digital campus for further development.
