Research And Implement Of Lb Interface In LCS

Since the E-911 location regulations has been established, location technology and location services have rapidly developed in the past decade. Location services have been widely applied in people's daily life. Facing the 3G age coming, location services will be demanded significantly increased. Hence, the research of how to improve quality of location technologies and location services could bring huge profits; it also can improve the quality of people's life and the progress of the society.Because some research of location services almost have been conducted by commercial organizations in early ages, these institutions prefer to use many private protocol and interface to protect their own interest. This phenomena result location services depending on deploy of network.3GPP, OMA and other international organizations worked out a detailed interface protocols standard which could unity the location services.This is an imperative problem.This thesis studied the network application of location services.Then according to the standard of Lb, the LB Gateway was designed. The following are the main contents of our work:(1) Compared the advantages and disadvantages on the common location scheme and basic orientation method and chose the right one.(2) This study analyzed the location system of the logical structure and some important network elements and the whole(3) According to the logical structural analysis and practical needs of users, the LB Gateway was designed and design content was introduced for detail in this thesis.(4) Implemented the Lb Gateway by the standard of 3GPP and the related location messages which are about Lb interface in BSSAP-LE and BSSLAP protocols. So making the BSC and SMLC can communicate with each other successfully.(5) Designed the load balance structure and keep the Lb Gateway running stabilityFinally, all tests verified that:the LB Gateway can supply location successfully with fast response and good performance.
