Study on the system of comPuter-aided design for railway terminal lines which is an imPortant Part of the iniegration of railway survey and design has an imPortant effeet on imProving the integration and intelligece of railway survey and design.This paper discusses the research method and related technology in railway terminal line aided system. The computer-aided technology is urgently required to save resources and improve the design efficiency in railway terminal line, for the reason that the workload is very big both in the design and subsequent drawing processing. The system directly uses the existing design results as the basic data of terminal line aided design, which read by means of ADO technology. Through the point approximation method and library function of ARX with graphics of CAD to the process the data, the line intersection coordinates and their mileage can be calculated. After a series of calculation, the design results can be written into Excel by means of ODBC finally.It is complex in design and relatively troublesome in drawing for terminal line. Compared with interval line drawing, plan graphic drawing of terminal line has not too many differences. The system draws plan graphic according to code,for the reason that it is required to draw line centerlines, when we calculate lines intersecting point coordinate using library function of ARX with graphics of CAD, both for the sake of system integrity. A prominent characteristic of terminal profile graphic is much cross in terminal lines, compared with interval railway line profile graphic. Thus, the increased function in the system profile graphic is to mark the Mileage and elevation of lines set intersection in the corresponding position, according to the lines intersection information table, which is the achievement of this system.This paper first introduces the research method and process of system detailedly.then development platform Visual C++6.0,graphic supporting environment AutoCAD2002, development tools ObjectARX2002,project management database Microsoft Access and its connection technology ADO of this system briefly.Finally, the paper uses examples to test and verify the system, which is basically met the function of the follow-up processes and Greatly improved the efficient of railway terminal line design.
