Laser rangefinder is a widely used in military and civilian areas of precision measuring distance technology, in several different kinds of laser rangefinder method suitable for measuring the distance of the short-middle way is using phase laser rangefinders.This paper mainly aims at phase-shift laser measurement of basic principles are studied, it also analyzes several other laser ranging way and the phase type laser ranging way difference. This paper designed by portable phase semiconductor laser rangefinders mainly into three sections:emit part, receiving part and digital signal processing part.Emit part design was used in facilitating phase modulation of laser diode as the source modulating circuit and laser diode emission collimate system design;receiving part was used avalanche diode(APD) as non-cooperative target echo of photoelectric acceptance device, research and design reverse breakdown circuit and magnified filter circuits, digital signal processing part was used PLL chip produce the vibration signal frequency mixing, through the use of high precision time-interval measurement chip TDC-GP2 the measurement theoretical precision to 0.2 mm.
