This paper presents a fiber optic video transmission system which could be used to monitor the power system in real time. The system is designed for transmitting four signals on a single fiber, and the signal could be processed at the receiving interface at the same time.The paper provides a system design scheme on the basis of an overview of the video transmission system development and its categorizations. The paper completed the preliminary budget of the power of the whole system, analyzed the source of the noise. The light source of the transmitter is a 1310 nm pigtailed fiber laser. The paper designed the modulation circuit, and the method of secondary modulation has been used to process signal. The detector of the receiver is a pigtailed PIN detector. The paper designed the amplification and modulation circuit, built the system and tested the feature of the whole system. Through analyzing the experimental results, the paper proposed a completed improvement solution.In conclusion, the system has a good stability, strong anti-interference characteristics and a long transmission distance.
