With the development of science and technology, especially the computer vision recognition, lots of new changes have happened in Human-Computer Interaction fields. What is more, many of them have come true, such as multi-touch screen, electronic handwriting board, data glove, virtual reality CAVE system and gesture identity, which really brought a new revolution to the development of Human- Computer Interactive. Among them, the most representative is the multi-touch system based on computer vision recognition technology. It has multiple points touch function and the touch screen can be made into huge size you want. Besides, it can recognize any directions accurately. Therefore, some large exhibitions, whether in museum or government, can take great advantages of this technology widely. In a word, it has a promising application in future.The article introduces mainly the developmental history of Optical touch system, constitutes of software and hardware. In addition, it also shows different gestures in application, including their specific meanings.Based on FTIR and LLP, the article introduces, respectively and specifically, some common kinds of optical touch systems, including divisions of function and some relative theories. In the optical touch system, the core technology is its accurate identification for touch point. Apart from the top hardware introduction, the article also presents software technology, especially the target-tracing arithmetic, which is based on outline of features. This kind of arithmetic can help to realize touch-point recognition accurately without influencing effectiveness of identification. Future more, the article also explores different gestures that represent different meanings in application. Take touch-gesture and VR for example, the touch and control gestures will be analyzed in detail through the combination of two kinds of technology. Finally, the article also proposes some improvements and innovations except the existing advantages and disadvantages.
