Multi-touch technology is a new generation product in the development of human-computer interaction technology, with users as the center. It constructs a touch platform to detect multiple contact and allows the use of double refers to the even more complex interactions at the same time, and the instinct of user interaction gestures to interact, reducing the users’ cognitive burden, well meetting the needs of the users, thus it has become a hot research topic in the area of human-computer interaction technology. Compared with traditional touch technology as capacitance resistance and so on, optical touch technology has many good points as simple to build, easy to install, easy to transplant, low cost, and many other advantages. In this paper, multi-touch detection and location tracking and gesture recognition for optical touch platforms were studied. The main contents of this paper are as follows:Construction of optical touch platform. Available in the market there are a lot of optical touch platforms obscured much positioning accuracy is not high, transplant convenient and higher installation cost disadvantages. In order to improve this shortcoming, the paper through research and investigation, set up four cameras based optical touch platform. Determine the length and width dimensions of the rectangular location constraints through the interaction region, the four cameras were installed in the four corners of the region to carry out information collection and data processing to occur on the area of occlusion. This building block approach effectively solve the problems between multiple contacts, you can pinpoint the location of the contact coordinates. As used herein, the optical touch platform to build, low cost, easy to transplant, their environment and the user has no other special requirements, and conducive to building a large interactive platform. In the building process, the camera was calibrated, and look-up table method was calibrated to the platform.Multi-touch detection method for locating and tracking camera four optical touch platform.
