This paper focuses on the data acquisition and real-time processing of Phytoplankton Particle Size Distribution Online Monitoring System, for which the real-time is particularly important. In addition, the data acquisition system is designed based on DSP and network interface. In this design, a high-performance DSP chip is used as the main processor to improve the performance of the system. So this system can satisfy all needs for measurement of fluorescent signal pulse width and extraction of Doppler signal.The system is able to acquire and process signals from sensors. After strengthening the signals received from PMT, the operational amplifier sends these signals to AD converter circuit. A/D converter circuit converts analog signals to digital signals and sends digital signals to TMS320C6713. Then the main processor performs Fast Fourier Transform on digital signals , and finally through the network interface the spectrum data are sent to PC or network, where the spectrum is displayed.In this paper, TI company's TMS320C6713 DSP chip is used as the main processor to acquire and process data. Realtek company's RTL8019AS is used to exchange data. ALTERA company's EPM7128STC100-10 CPLD chip is used to implement logic control. Different modules are combined according to the requirement of system.This paper explains the design of a data acquisition system which is based on DSP and network interface. It introduces its main chips, circuit design , module interfaces design, operating principles and softwares for different modules. The final experiment results validate the correctness of the design.
