The Design And Realization Of College And University Office Automation System Based On Lotus Domino/Notes

With the further improvement of informationalization level in our country, and the further expansion of scale of running school in colleges and universities, there is a new transmission in college and university administrative office system, then the theory of using administrative office system to improve university administrative management level is increasingly presented. How to realize actual paperless office with the application of office automation system? The high level office automation platform is needed for guaranteeing the further coordinated, continuous development of university administrative management, teaching and scientific research; realizing the sharing of all kinds of information resources and improving the working efficiency to create a convenient, fast and efficient work environment. At present, the reality of how to make sure a good and fast development on college and university put forward new and higher requirements for university administrative office system.After the system puts into services, all documents, notices, announcements and tables are released in the form of electronic documents. The printing and distribution of paper documents were gradually cancelled, so that the drafting, checking, issuing and distribution of all documents can be carried out online, which greatly improved the speed of documents processing and saved manpower, materials and office expenses. The system also made the integration of word processing and archives management possible. The electronic documents were saved more conveniently, at the same time made a short cut for archives retrieval.This thesis expounded the background and significance of the research, and the current situation and development of the office system in our country. It analyzed the primal questions that OA system settled and performed the demand analysis on college and university administrative office system through the analysis of aim of system and the problems to solve, system demand acquisition mode, system functional requirements and system non-functional requirements. It performed the overall architectural design, functional module design and database structural design on the system. Meanwhile it fulfilled the detailed design on each functional module and introduced the realization of some important modules in system. Then it performed system environmental test and data analysis, introduced the language for system development, and finally came the conclusion and prospect.The design and realization of the system is based on Lotus Domino/notes group platform secondary development. Notes is made up of three main programs including Domino server, Internet standard server and Notes client, of which Domino server is a computer operated on Windows or Unix and offers memory sharing database and Notes routing services to Notes client and other Domino servers. The Notes client is operated on the computer which installed Windows software. It can be used for communication between Domino server and Internet server. In addition, sharing database, reading and sending e-mails, querying database and browsing the Web are available. The system developed the college and university administrative office system with functional modules including work of today, network notice, documents sending and receiving management, signature management, meeting management, archives administration, scheduling, signing out, address book, information issuing, etc. The system with perfect functions has been already put into service, which has ideal running effect and verified stability and reliability. The actual tests and operation result indicate the system design is appropriate and reasonable, which meet with the actual requirement and receive good comments from users. The system made the college and university administrative management more standardized by improving the work efficiency and promoting the development of colleges and universities.
