The MOMO technology, which can improve the capacity of wireless communication systems without requiring additional bandwidth or power, resolved the contradiction between the shortage of available frequency spectrum and the demanding on high data rates in modern communications. This thesis analyzes some aspects which influence the MIMO channel capacity especially in Ricean fading channel. Analyzes the capacity when the channel known or unknown to the transmitter, the capacity of the deterministic channels, the average capacity and the outage capacity of the random channels, and the influence of correlation on capacity is discussed. Monte Carlo Method is employed to simulate the Rayleigh fading channels to analyze the influence of the numbers of antennas, the SNR, the Ricean factor, the rank of the channel matrix and the determinant of the channel matrix on channel capacity. Understanding of the MIMO systems with dual-polarized antennas, we derived the LOS propagation channel model in the presence of dual-polarized MIMO systems. Following above, we simulated the MIMO channel when the system using dual-polarized antennas. We show the dual-polarized MIMO systems can increase MIMO channel capacity effectively.
