The Integrated Management Information System (IMIT) of Guizhou Normal University (GUN) takes the reality of the working and living conditions of the faculty and students as its starting point, aiming to improve the efficiency of managing the basic file information about the faculty and students and avoid unnecessary waste in the information resource. The system is mainly designed to manage the information resource about every staff, teacher and student belonging to GNU on consolidated basis. The IMIS of GNU will use information technology, science and the Internet to realize the goals on personnel management. Basically the system will allow GNU to meet the needs of its managing bodies to share the data of personnel management. And consolidated management on information resource about the faculty and students would be realized by using the university net.Thus it can accelerate the speed of building informization in GNU. Being developed on the background of IMIS, the thesis has provided detailed analysis about the operation procedure and functional requirements mainly by means of inputting, storing, transferring and maintaining of information. It has designed an information system under which all functional departments of GNU can share basic data about teachers and students. The system will carry out more efficient management on information related to teachers, their professional work and scientific research, also included is information about students, their performance at the university and the changing of their status as a student. Teachers, student and managing staff can search for information on the university net based on different user permission, which effectively reduced repeated work and helped to share information among managing bodies of GNU. The system can greatly cut down the cost caused by the prior manual managing mode and decentralized managing in all departments, also having improved the veracity and consistency of file information concerning teachers and students collected by every managing body of GNU. It is a specific measure carried out by GNU to efficiently manage and formalize the information about its teachers and students.
