Materials Management System For Smes, Research And Development

To research on and develop a material management system is important and has actual applications for speeding up turnover of material, improving production efficiency and upgrading material management skills. It can also strengthen competitive forces of minor enterprises in Southwest Guizhou Prefecture by providing scientific basis for business management and make decisions.This paper investigated into and analyzed the material management situations of minor enterprises in Southwest Guizhou Prefecture. Then it focused on developing a material management system for these enterprises. The design/development implement of the system was to address the material management requirements and characteristic existing in chemical industry, mining machine, gold mine and coal mine. It implemented multi-functions such as basic material information management, material purchase order management, and other management functions for contract, entry/out warehouse, inventory, finance, stock taking and personnel.Major works of the thesis:1) Based on demand analysis of the material management, the thesis indicated the operation flow of material purchase and entry warehouse. Then it shown use case diagrams for planning management, purchase management, entry/out warehouse management, inventory management, statistical analysis, comprehensive inquiry, system maintenance, returned material management, inspection management and finance management.2) The thesis implemented system design works such as architecture design, functional design and database design. It also indicates functional diagram of the system architecture, algorithm and database table for part of the modules.3) The thesis researched on system implement of the material management, introduced development environment, user interfaces for log on and each module.
