| Business letter, whose full name is business letter, is called E-mail ads or DM ads in some foreign countries. It is a kind of advertising which send the letter directly to the customer-specified target objects through mail. Business Letter chooses letter as its carrier, and after the target customers' names and addresses are printed and packaged, they are sent through the postal channel as letters. Compared with TV and other media, it is more pointed and can shoot the target more straightly.Business letter delivery system is built by the National Post Company through unified plan. Based on comprehensive postal network, business letters can be ordered to be printed by paragraph through this system and it also has some other functions like delivery feedback and address maintenance,etc.Business letter delivery system is built to informationize the tradional mailing workflow. The accumulated high quantity information with various attributes about names and addresses can be collected, mined and analyzed in database as its important task.This paper illustrates the whole progress of system construction which at first analyzes the large quantity of data of the system and then how data warehouse, OLAP is utilized in building the database by the following three steps:1. Analyzes the requirement of customized Address library in Business letter system2. Gathered and collected basic address data for Tianjin Post.3. Implement the data sorting for basic data using data mining technique;4 Constructed the customized address library based on the Tianjin Post base;After a stage of running, from the preliminary results, the commercial database letter is proved to be able to improve competitive strength of postal-delivery business, and at the same time improve the enterprise's economic and social benefit. |
