Research On Protection Mechanism In Metro WDM Transmission Network

With the development of full-service and 3G networks, China Mobile are beginning to construct WDM network in various cities to meet the growing bandwidth demand. WDM networks carry more and more important business, and large-particles services, security protection capacity need to be improved.Firstly,this paper analyzes the protection mechanism of a variety of current mainstream WDM equipment manufacturers, and gets the carrying strategy and protection mode in WDM network of various services. Next, this paper analyzes if and how protection mode to be used. In addition, by analyzing business requirements, channel organization, the core fiber structure, networking strategy large-scale Metro WDM MESH structure has been achieved. From the analysis of the processing efficiency of transited business and network's reliability design, It is obvious that Ip layer and Optical layer's two levels protection coordination mechanism to IP Over WDM is necessary. Finally Multi-layer protection coordination mechanism of IP over WDM has been proposed.In short, through this study, three research results proposed that large metro WDM network planning, the carrying strategy and protection mode of large- particles services and multi-layer protection coordination mechanism t,It will be well guided on construction and maintenance of network.
