With the development of mobile telecommunication techniques, there is a new trend that the old mobile telecommunication networks will be adjusted and blended with the new networks, that is 3G and 4G.Especially, the development and application of 3G/4G and broadband techniques gained more and more attention, and have already become the hot point of the global telecommunication world. However, over 90 percent of the mobile users are still using the 2G network, so we could not neglect the optimization of 2G network while studying new networks. Repeater is a very useful equipment in 2G network, so the optimization of repeaters is one of the most important links of present network optimization.Repeater is a kind of equipment that can enhance the strength of signals from the base station, so that it can increase the coverage range of the base station. But if it is not set up properly, it will bring great harm to the present base station and itself, such as affecting the quality of communications between mobile users. This paper summarized the problems in the application of repeaters, and had a deep investigation on the noise interference and isolation of repeaters, using by math's models. And it is put in practice and works well.This article firstly introduced the component parts and the basic functions of the repeater, discussed the problems when it is used in practice, and extract math's models from it. Then, this article presented the principle of gain design of the repeater, and proposed the optimization plan of the repeater gain. As to the placement of the antennas of repeater, this article studied the performance index of the isolation between antennas, recommended an optimization plan by the transmission models.
