Currently, data centers are growing at an unprecedented rate, data centers typically run multiple separate networks:an Ethernet network (LAN) to the server for the client and server to server communications; a Fibre Channel storage area network (SAN) servers and storage devices for communication. FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) switch is turned on integration of architecture known as the first key. FCoE is called directly in the data center Ethernet (Ethernet) lossless Ethernet Fibre Channel transmission infrastructure (Fibre Channel) signals. In today's data center consolidation is a general trend of the situation, FCoE technology within the storage network data centers and data network integration, while protecting and extending the user previously stored in the FC SAN investment on the network, and therefore has a future data center construction very broad application prospects.To the FCoE switches used in data center, the high reliability is a fundamental need without doubt. FCoE switch is mainly used for the distributed enterprise network or telecom network core and aggregation layers, this paper discusses the FCoE switches, storage networks and the development of profiles, FCoE switch category. On this basis, analysis of the distributed common infrastructure hardware FCoE switch and control board, interface board, back of the hardware, and communication between the plates and processes, including support for bulk data backup, real-time backup and when the standby switching smoothing. And describes the project model used in software engineering, C language development skills of knowledge, the software platform of the project.Link module is a fundamental module of the FCoE switch, this paper focuses on distributed FCoE switch module software system composed of the link. For distributed FCoE switch, because there are multiple control board (Control Board), multiple interface board (IF Board), multiple backup board (Standby Board), and each board has a separate set of CPU and memory, the master FCoE switch board is the center of the distributed and provided to control the forwarding of data across the board, not only that, it is responsible for services such as route calculation, and the name of the function of the upper.
