With the rapidly development of medical technology, The Hospital Information System(HIS) has been introduced into CHINA in the 1990s. Though it brought great convenience for medical institutions and patients, The Foreign Hospital Information System is faced with compatibility, data sharing and so on problems. The localization and customization difficulty makes it hardly obtained market position easily in the Chinese medical informatization. So development a set of rational drug use system consistent with China's national conditions is imminently.The Physic Decision Support Safety System (PDSS) is nested in Hospital Information System (HIS), which makes the corresponding judgement instructions for doctors'entered drugs and diagnostic regimen in HIS System by ETL and Middle Tier.This system has upper practicability and maintainability, the system interface friendly, having strict authority control, and it is distensible and it could be operated easily. All these due to the using of oo means and B/S trussshich is used to design the system in management of medical treatment. It contributed to effective strengthening the hospital management, increased work efficiency and improved the medical service quality.This article discussed the development status of the medical information system in domestic and overseas, and did business analysis. Which defined clinical rational regimen, personalized medicine, safe drug use audit as the three fundamental function, and stand in the medical risk happened before. The Physic Decision Support System (PDSS) is made up of five modules:The Prescription evatuate and alert system(PEAAS), The Prescription analysis system(PAS), The Information island(IFMI), The Supervisory platform user management system(CAS), The Drugs system configuration platform(SCP).The Physic Decision Support System has already been applied in 304 hospital and achieved desired effects. It plays a huge role in reduce medical accident and health-care costs.
