The Design And Implementation Of College Teacher's Management System Based On Browser/Server Architecture

In recent years, the reforms of higher education, especially higher vocational education have been increasingly strengthened. Xiangtan Vocational & Technical College, occupying the forefront position of Hunan vocational circles, is also adapting to the situation to accelerate his pace in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning, the learning environment of students, which leading to the active reform of education and teaching. But in the aspect of teachers'information management, the old ways, like tables records, paper registration are still being used; these primitive and inefficient methods could not keep step with the college development. The daily management of teachers' information plays an important role in the teaching reform and teaching research, if well managed, it would encourage the teachers to perfect their professional skills, and improve the quality of teaching so as to create the brand major, to construct the exquisite courses and promote the rapid development for the college.It is so essential to design the easily accessible teacher's information management system, based on Web. This paper proposes the implementation procedure of teachers' information management system, in which SQL Server 2005 database, asp.net and c# technology are applied. The system is divided into four modules——the user management, the department management, the teacher's management and the teaching management. With the aid of this system, the educational administrators could keep guard over the teachers'personnel files, the personnel arrangements, the working performance and the attendance assessment information very conveniently, while the teachers could browse the teaching arrangements and notices on the web.In the aspect of security, this system adopts the user authentication, user login and user access control technology; the use of MD5 encryption technology is also applied to ensure the users' information security. This paper introduces the interchange means of heterogeneous database which realizes the seamless data connection between inner and peripheral databases.
