With the continuous development of the Multimedia Technology and Network Information Technology, the virtual exhibition of museum resources is achieved through the way of showing on the Internet. And the computers are made to become an important assistant of researching and popularization of museum antiques. It is the main developing direction of digital information of museum to show antiques on the Internet. Using computers and the Internet for virtual interactive exhibition of antiques, there will be a wide space for the development for the exploitation of the heritage multimedia display system based on the Internet. This essay studies the multimedia display system of the Digital Museum of the Ming and Qing Furniture on the basis of the Internet and virtual interaction.The essay designs a platform of multimedia display of the Ming and Qing Furniture on the basis of virtual interaction through the productive technology of the antiques' digital information whose core is three-dimensional modeling, the multimedia Integrated Manufacturing Technology and JSP dynamic web technology centered on the Three-dimensional virtual interaction. First, the writer used the 3dsmax for the main tool and proposed the modeling steps and key principles which accord with the designing requirement of virtual interaction of furniture. Second, the writer addressed the ideas about model simplification for the problem of interactive accessing speed of three dimensional model. Third, the writer used the directorMX2004 as a platform of multimedia exploitation, and made the use of some plugins like Shockwave, 3DPI, Havok to customize interactive control and to design 3D multimedia elements. Fourth, by the use of MVC framework, JSP dynamic web page and SQL database, the writer designed the platform of the Internet exhibition.
