A Study Of Dissemination Of National Culture In Domestic Animation

Through the retrospect of the history of animation and study on present condition, the paper analyzed the achievements and shortcomings in the nationalization of domestic animation. Through the specific analysis of quality animation in United States and Japan, this paper explored advanced experience in which by the transmission of national culture connotation to successfully convey the distinctive national spirit in foreign animation, then concludes four significances of the animation in cultural transmission: inherited significance of national spirit; the expansion significance of national culture;the economic significance of cultural animation and the systemic significance of animation art. Supported by the theory of cultural transmission, the paper analyzed problems existed in the national culture transmission of domestic animation and its direction of improvement, lessons and inspiration in the aspect of national culture transmission brought by excellent domestic animation like Qin's Moon to Chinese animation, proposed four operational means for domestic animation in the process of national culture transmission, which are: employ nationalized stories; use Chinese-style narrative means; arouse resonance with the audience by ethnic and cultural symbols; disseminate traditional national culture by popular means. It also studied national culture transmission strategies in domestic animation and brought up suggestions on the basis of communication theories, such as Cultivation Analysis, Uses And Gratifications: audience first, integrate and innovate the transmission mode of domestic animation, emphasize the transmission effect and interaction brought by national culture to animation, based on this, implement the strategic significance of China's animation industry, therefore, promote the overall development of China's animation. We hope this paper will bring some inspiration to the process of national culture transmission of domestic animation.
