With our country has been increasing speed of existing lines and builting large-scale of high-speed railway and the special line for passenger transport, GSM-R,developed as a kind of based on GSM platform, specifically for meeting the application and digital public wireless communication system, has been successfully applied in the Dalian-Qinghuangdao railway, Qinhai-Xizang railway,JiaoJi railway, the Beijing-Tianjin inter-city and Hefei-Ningbo passenger special line projects, etc.lt also will be implemented in our country's new builting lines such as Wuhan-Guangzhou and Zhengzhou-Xian passenger special line, as our country's development direction of the railway special communication, it will gradually replace the existing analog formats railway wireless communication system. Especially in recent constructioning Wuhan-Guangzhou,Zhengzhou-Xian high-speed passenger special line projects, GSM-R system as the main means for transmit the information from the gound to on-board, it is widely used in wireless train control system, provides the main transmission channel for CTCS-3's data from on-board to the gound, and for high-speed train can finally realizes the railway s&c integration, requests network worked more reliable and more safe, so it requires more for the wireless communication coverage.This paper firstly introduces GSM-R business model and engineering design indexes, then makes a specific detailed introduction to the concept GSM-R network optimization, reason, and processes and methods and finally take Zhengzhou-Xian passenger spencial line for example, explores a further discussion of the GSM-R network optimization method under the condition of high speed, puts important point on the network coverage optimization, handover optimization and test optimization of network QoS, etc.
