Bridges, as common architectures in everyday life, solve the problem of urban traffic congestion, providing great convenience for the city transportation. The safety of the bridge is directly related to the people's safety. Therefore, bridge inspection systems for bridges at home and abroad have become a research hotspot of scientific research. With the importance of bridge safety, many bridge detection systems have been born.This design uses Web technology to design a software system of the bridge detection, which can make different bridge maintenance technicians, who work on different places, log on the same server through different browsers to access the same bridge information database and finish remote probe, thus contributing to the bridge performance analysis and monitoring in sync.This paper firstly introduces the background of the bridge detection system, the Web program development technology, and the importance of using Web technology to the bridge detection system. Secondly, starting from the overall design, it decides each function module of the system, mainly including:signal acquisition and processing software, database design and Web server application design. Then, it describes the application of technology and design process of each module in detail, focusing on the three-tier architecture, SQL Server database operations, ASP.NET web design, Silverlight technical drawing, and Delphi interface design. Finally, according to the server and client's debugging problems in the system, it gives the needs of the present design for further improvement.The results of this system design show that using ASP.NET technology to establish a software system of the bridge detection based on B/S structure is feasible, because it not only flexibly use.NET, Silverlight, Ajax, JavaScript and so on, but also achieve the remote monitoring of the bridge status. In addition, Using Delphi to design the bridge signal acquisition software is also very simple, flexible, and it supports efficient database operations and management. Therefore, bridge maintenance technician can use this system to timely master the bridge status information, thus ensuring the safe use of the bridge.
