This paper focuses on the study of high powered diode laser power supplies. With the increase output power of diode lasers and the improvement of output characteristics, these diode lasers have been widely applied to national defense, scientific research, industrial processing, medical treatment and other fields, and play an important role that cannot be replaced by other lasers. The study of high powered diode laser power supplies has already become a hot spot of studies in all countries.This paper mainly discusses the current situation of diode lasers and puts forward the special requirements for the power supplies under quasi-continuous work, according to the working principle of diode lasers. It also probes into the feasibility of laser power projects and proves that using IGBT power devices as the main circuit could greatly improve the overall performance of the laser power. Using crowbar protection circuit can effectively protect the diode from the devastating effects. Using PID control technology can improve the stability of the system. It also reveals the anti-jamming, cooling and other issues in the research of power supply and finally puts forward the experimental results.
