Accompanied by the rapid development of electronic technology and laser technology laser countermeasure has become to one of key technologies in national defense and military fields. More and more attention is paid to laser threat which is represented by laser rangefinder and laser target designator In order to contend with them, people carry out research on technology of laser warning。From analysis of the threat, we can conclude that equipments of using the YAG laser device as the core occupy an important position. Therefore, it is important for relevant experiment of laser countermeasure technology and performance test of laser warning receiver that repetition frequency coding laser study suiting to simulate threat of laser.Repetition frequency coding laser is a set of laser and electronic technology, as one of the military optical equipment for field test of optoelectronic countermeasures. Nd:YAG laser and electro-optic Q-module as the core device, coding laser encode the gap time between of output pulses, with laser pulse encoder. The device can meet the requirements of simulating battlefield laser in order to effectively test the effectiveness of laser warning detection technology. In this paper, the Ce:Nd:YAG crystal as the working substance and KDP crystal Q-device are applied to design laser head with a plano-convcave cavity, and the mechanism of sensitization Ce3+ ions on Nd3+ ions theoretically is explained. It is Proved that the initial info-code and MPPM meet to one mapping relationship by analyzing the MPPM Method then based MPPM encoding achieve a coding process, by use of CPLD. In order to validate whether meet the design requirements effectively, the main indicators of the laser was tested, finally the results show that the parameters meet the design requirements.
