Design And Implementation Of The Network Teaching Platform

The Internet technology development makes the campus network play an increasingly bigger role. With the improved network infrastructure and wide use of computer and network technology, online teaching, as a new means of teaching instead of merely being distance education, has gradually entered the college campus as an extension and supplement to classroom teaching. The online teaching better satisfied the talents training needs of our era.Online teaching takes full advantage of the latest computer technology, network and multimedia technology, etc., which enables teaching to span the limit of time and space. Because it has great flexibility and interactivity in vividly demonstrating the teaching materials, online teaching has become the most powerful tool for students' autonomous learning under the guidance of the new type teachers. Network teaching platform which has a profound impact on the storage and sharing of educational resources, on teaching information processing and transmission as well as teaching management is a necessary condition for the realization of Internet-based online teaching.This research studies online teaching platform design and implementation, develops the design concept of the application software engineering. It makes a detailed analysis, research and description of the system requirements analysis, preliminary design, detailed design, interface design, database design as well as system implementation. The system is developed on the base of B/S (Browser/ Server) three-tier architecture. The main functions of the network teaching platform are realized by adopting ASP technology combined with Web database technique.This thesis has completed the following research work:1. Analyzing the background of the network teaching platform development, introducing the development and the main technology in application of network teaching platform.2. Discussing the development tools and platform of the system implementation, using ASP technology to complete web pages, and describing database access methods, and design and implementation details of some important functional modules so as to achieve the overall design requirements for network teaching platform.3. Describing the test process and results through elaborating the system test purposes, test environment and test methods, as well as analyzing and discussing the results. Basically, the network teaching platform meets the envisioned design requirements. The use of it has maximized the internet convenience for teachers and students. While compensating for deficiencies caused by traditional teaching, it improves teaching quality and efficiency, and puts forward the feedback about some problems existing in the system, which lay the basis for further research.
