With the rapid expansion of university's scale and the further deepening of the reform in experimental teaching, how to make better use of the university's laboratories for more teachers and students to carry out practice in the course, scientific research and innovation, has become one of the most important problems for university's laboratories.In this thesis, to meet the requirements in teaching and management of the Experimental Teaching Center of School of Information Science and Engineering, Yunnan University, we design and develop a laboratory information management system based on the campus network, which aims to realize the centralized management, on-demand service, scientific management, standardization and informationization of the laboratories of the school, and improve efficiency and management level of the laboratories.The main work of this thesis is:1. According to the actual operation and management situation of the Experimental Teaching Center of School of Information Science and Engineering, Yunnan University, we analysis and study the problems in the open and management of the laboratories, and discuss the current situation of the design and development of the laboratory management service systems. 2. On the basis of the actual requirements of the teachers, students and laboratory management services, we done the requirements analysis, the design of the Function module and the database of the system.3. This paper employs the object-oriented analysis and design methods, use the visual modeling language UML and modeling tool ROSE for system requirements analysis and design, described the system from different angles; In the design of the system, we employ three-tier B/S software architecture,.NET as the development platform, ASP.NET as server-side language, ADO.NET as the data access technology, SQL Server 2000 as the database, and C# as the programming language; The entire system's security mechanism is also constructed.4. We summarize the development of the Open Laboratory Information Management System of the Experimental Teaching Center of School of Information Science and Engineering, Yunnan University, analyze and evaluate the characteristics of the system, propose a complete scheme which provides effective reference model and reference mode for the informationization management of all the laboratories in this university; At the same time, we discuss the prospect in the construction of the university-wide experimental data platform, data warehouse, and dynamic experiment management system, which aims to implement the integration of data, sharing of information and resources.
